Mountainsmith was born in 1978 in the Front Range of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. This exquisitely beautiful and physically challenging landscape has been the workshop, playground and testing facility for the company ever since.
Through their collective experience of hiking, climbing, running, riding, sliding and paddling among its canyons and peaks, rivers and creeks, Mountainsmith has created the unique and timeless products they are so well known for.
As they have since the beginning, Mountainsmith has built outdoor equipment that customers want to use; that they themselves believe in, that will take a beating and that is designed by outdoor people, for outdoor people.
